Monday's Meeting, Oct. 27

Time for week eight! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and the quarter is still going smoothly. This week we are really excited to welcome Amy Peach from Bath & Body Works.

Amy Peach, APR, has a great job as director of Internal Communications for Bath & Body Works –- you know the place you go for all the great smelling lotions, potions and candles. Amy has taken a traditional route in her communications career. A graduate of the journalism school at Bowling Green State University, her course work focused on the public relations sequence.

Her first job was in PR at a community hospital. From there, she went into consulting working at two of Ohio's largest public relations agencies. Through this experience, she gained expertise in all areas of communications including strategy and planning, media relations, event management, public affairs and internal communications. She returned to her roots in healthcare for several years at OhioHealth in Columbus serving as lead communicator to both physicians and employees.

Two years ago, she decided to explore the world of retail and accepted her current position at Bath & Body Works, part of the Limited Brands which also owns Victoria's Secret, PINK, Henri Bendel and White Barn Candle Company. She is responsible for communication strategy and implementation for home office staff in both Columbus, Ohio and SoHo, New York.
