A special speaker will be on campus Monday April 28 in Scripps 111 at 7 p.m. This will immediately follow our regular meeting.

The event is open to the Scripps school at large, and is not solely a PRSSA sponsored event. We highly recommend taking advantage of this unique opportunity to stay that night to hear about a topic that isn't covered much in classes.

Vice President & Associate General Counsel for Global Patent Strategy

Mr. Valz will be speaking on property rights of content providers in the age of the Internet and the implications for media professionals. He leads a team of attorneys and engineers responsible for Yahoo's worldwide invention harvesting, patent filings and portfolio management. His expertise includes intellectual property-related litigation, licensing, Internet policy and strategic corporate development.

See you there!

April 21, 2008 Meeting/ BBQ

Tired of eating in the dining halls and not in the mood to cook for yourself? The perfect solution is to attend the PRSSA barbecue on Monday, April 21st at 6:00 p.m. At 32A North College St. This will take the place of our regularly scheduled meeting. DO NOT GO SCRIPPS 111!! It will be empty, desolate, and it's no fun to party by yourself.

Walking directions:

This house is practically on top of College Green, so no excuses about it being too far of a walk. Plus the weather is going to be beautiful. Simply walk to the end of College St. and stop at the intersection with Mill St. We'll all be on the front porch, so don't worry about missing the entrance! Also, there is no fee to eat. Just come and enjoy the food (we'll call it a networking event).

Click here to see it on a simple map.

If you have any trouble finding the house, please don't hesitate to call Paul at 513-317-8160.

This will also be Mary Miller's last PRSSA meeting before she makes the big move down to Atlanta, GA. Please stop by to say good bye even if you can't be there for the entire time!

Finally, don't forget to scroll down the page and vote in the polls if you haven't already. See you all tomorrow!
