Monday's Meeting, Sept. 29

Hello everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful homecoming weekend. Make this Monday a productive one and attend the internal networking meeting for PRSSA in Scripps 111 at 6 p.m. Tonight, we will focus on getting to know one another in small groups and icebreakers. As aspiring PR professionals it is so important to get to know your peers who, in just a few years, will be your colleagues.

Other things we will go over tonight will be winter and summer internship opportunities, along with going over all the information the PRSSA internship binder holds. We will go over our new professional network forms that will help us build our chapter resources for all our members. There will also be sign-ups for everyone who wants to gain writing experience with PR Success and PRofessional.

As always, if you have any questions, please respond to scripps.prssa@gmail.com. You can also check us out on twitter (twitter.com/ScrippsPRSSA).

Don’t forget dues are $65 dollars and should be made out to PRSSA. We hope to see you there tonight at 6 p.m. in Scripps 111.

Monday's Meeting, Sept. 22

I hope everyone had a great weekend! As a reminder, our second meeting of the quarter is tomorrow, Monday, Sept. 22 at 6 p.m. in Scripps 111 where we will be hosting our first guest speaker, Aaron Brown. Traditionally, we host Aaron as the first speaker of the quarter because he's an E.W. Scripps alumnus and a former OU PRSSA president. He will be providing great advice, tips and resources, especially for those of you who are just getting started.

Currently, Brown is an Associate Vice President at Fahlgren Mortine Public Relations, one of the largest PR agencies in the Midwest region, based in Columbus.

Please join us in welcoming Aaron back to Athens. As always, if you have any
questions, please respond to scripps.prssa@gmail.com. You
