Mentoring Program

PRSSA’s mentor/ mentee program provides further experience to students at every level. Mentors will have the opportunity to gain leadership experience by teaching and sharing their personal experiences. Mentors should have been involved in PRSSA for at least a year and developed skills through classes, extracurricular activities and internships.

Mentees get access to an advanced student who was once in their shoes. Mentors help their mentee by reviewing their resume, recommending classes, teachers and internships, offering advice and just being a friend.

The PRSSA mentor/ mentee program builds long-lasting relationships among students of all levels.

Requirements

• At least 2 hours of mentorship per month; can be through phone, email, skype or in person over coffee/ lunch etc.
• Program will last the full academic year. After June 2012, contact is up to the mentor and mentee.
• Attend PRSSA meetings, optional social events

How to Participate
Mentors and mentees will be matched based on major and interests. Juniors and seniors with the highest PRSSA involvement and experience will be chosen for mentors first.
